HOMER ANIMAL FRIENDS
"Helping Homer's companion animals and their people since 1986

Revised 6/13/09

Homer Animal Friends   is the non-profit organization which supports the Homer Animal Shelter. We will pay a portion of the cost of spaying or neutering of your new pet.  Homer Animal Friends is a 100% volunteer group, working to address cruelty to pets in our community in two ways: decreasing pet over-population by offering a low-cost spay/neuter program and by heightening awareness of pet ownership responsibilities through education. Donations made to the Homer Animal Friends goes towards spaying and neutering of companion animals.

 PRAYER FOR THE ANIMALS

Hear our humble prayer for our friends the animals, especially for animals who are suffering, for any that are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry; for all that must be put to death.

We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity, and for those who deal with them, we ask a heart of compassion and gentle hands and kindly words.

Make us, ourselves, to be true friends to animals and so to share the blessings of the merciful.

....Albert Schweitzer.....

The greatness of a nation and its progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals.

.....Mahatma Gandhi....

If you talk with the animals they will talk with you and you will know each other.
If you do not talk to them you will not know them, and what you do not know you will fear.
And what one fears, one destroys.

....Chief Dan George....
